Tour the Governor’s Mansion

Inside the walls of the Missouri Governor’s Mansion, guests will have the opportunity to step back in time and learn about our state’s history. The Missouri Governor’s Mansion is one of few executive residences in the United States open to the public. Free guided tours are given by our volunteer docents thanks to the support of the Friends of the Missouri Governor’s Mansion Docent Program. Once you have booked your tour, please read all information carefully to fully understand the Mansion guidelines.

Tour reservations are required for all visitors and must be made at least 24 hours in advance. It is recommended that you schedule some additional time in between your tours of the Missouri State Capitol and the Governor’s Mansion due to distance in-between the two sites.

Missouri Governor’s Mansion guided tours are provided throughout the year. We allow 25 people per group and tours are provided every 15 minutes. Please see our schedule below for more information. Tour reservations are required and a photo ID and/or addition information may be needed before entering the Mansion grounds, for security purposes.

Tour Information

The Missouri Governor’s Mansion is currently closed for public tours, due to previously scheduled renovations. We will re-open for spring season public tours in February 2024.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing the People’s House with you again soon.
